Attention – On April 8th, 2014, a discovery was announced that a zero-day vulnerability within the widely used web encryption technology, known as “OpenSSL”. Gulf Credit Union has been working diligently to investigate, identify and respond to any detection of this vulnerability within our systems. We discovered that a few of our systems were in fact affected by this bug and we have worked with the appropriate vendors and partners to patch the vulnerability. We will continue to take the appropriate steps to ensure the integrity of all our systems. To you, our members, we recommend that you purge cookies from your computer system and then take the appropriate steps to change your passwords on Home Banking, Credit Card servicing and any other site logins. Please consider these steps for all other sites or financial institutions you use once you verify that they have mitigated this vulnerability.
